Follow the origins of Matchbox, then explore Lesney-era models. Start with the No. 1 road roller, or browse the wider vintage range.
Check casting, base markings and condition. An original box, a reproduction box and a restored model are different things.
02LEGO / BACK TO THE FUTURE
LEGO Icons 10300 · 2022
The reconfigurable DeLorean from our Short. Look for set 10300—not the smaller 21103 release, a lighting kit or instructions sold on their own.
For used sets, check parts, both minifigures and the alternate-build pieces. “New” does not always mean a pristine box.
03BATMAN ’89 / TOY BIZ
Bob the Goon & the 1989 toy line
Explore Bob, Batman and the Joker from the Toy Biz movie-era range. Later Kenner figures and modern reissues are separate releases.
Check the maker and year, loose versus carded condition, included accessories and whether the action feature still works.
04JURASSIC PARK / KENNER
Original 1993 Dino-Damage toys
Explore the Kenner dinosaurs with removable Dino-Damage patches featured in our Short. Modern Jurassic releases are a different toy line.
Check that the correct skin patch is included, along with any other accessories. For electronic toys, ask about working sounds and battery-compartment corrosion.
05POWER RANGERS / MEGAZORD
Super7 Super Cyborg & the wider range
Start with the Super7 Super Cyborg Megazord and its removable chest panel, as seen in our Short. The wider search includes other makers, scales and releases.
Confirm the maker, version and size. Super Cyborg is not a five-Zord combining set. Check the chest panel and accessories; on combining versions, check every Zord and connector.
06MARVEL MASTERPIECES / 1992
The original Joe Jusko card series
Find cards and sets from the original 1992 Marvel Masterpieces release. Later editions, art prints and reprints are different products—not interchangeable with these cards.
Confirm the year and card numbers. Check set completeness, surface condition and whether cards are raw or graded. For sealed boxes, inspect seals and seller history; opening one never guarantees a return.
07STAR WARS / EARLY BIRD
Kenner’s 1977 certificate package
Explore the Early Bird story: a certificate package sold before the figures were ready. Search results may include individual paperwork, reproductions and later commemorative releases.
An original certificate package, the later mailed figures and a reproduction are not the same purchase. Check date, provenance, exactly what is included and close-up photos before buying.
08ROBOCOP / NECA
NECA Ultimate RoboCop
The Ultimate figure recreates RoboCop’s spring-loaded thigh holster, with an Auto-Nine pistol, data-spike fist and unmasked head. Check the exact release against the features shown in our Short.
Check that the holster operates and the pistol, alternate head and hands are included. Confirm the maker, scale and edition; inspect photos and seller feedback for authenticity concerns.
